Department of Cardiology: Cardiology is the study and treatment of disorders of heart and the blood vessels. A person with heart disease or cardiovascular disease may be referred to a cardiologist.At KGN hospital, we have 04 qualified cardiologists and properly maintained 10 bed CCU for In-Patients.At DHQ Hospital, we have 02 cardiologists and 15 bed CCU for In-patients.

Dental Department Dental technologists are a very important part of the dental healthcare team. Their duties include the fabrication and repair of prostheses, dental crowns, bridges, inlays, and on-lays, as well as maxillofacial surgical and orthodontic appliances. These appliances aim to restore the lost natural teeth of patients by restoring their function, phonetics, and aesthetics. The Department of Dental Technology aims to produce dental technologists that not only have a strong command of the knowledge and technical skill required in this discipline but also instill in them a sense of strong professional ethics and dedication to lifelong learning. Our graduates leave the institute with the capability to link their theoretical and technical learning with the ever-changing needs of the advancing world of dentistry. The Dental Department is equipped with comprehensive and technologically advanced resources. Our dental and maxillofacial surgeons provide a full range of clinical services. In addition, we have other dental facilities for a general dental practice which include basic and specialized orthodontics, Operative Dentistry as well as Endodontics. Minor oral surgical procedures like biopsies, apicectomy, cyst enucleation with curettage, bone grafting, surgical extraction of wisdom teeth, alveoloplasty, and advanced periodontal treatment are also carried out.
Department of Dermatology The Department of Dermatology provides advanced care to patients with various types of skin conditions. Our physicians are well trained in the specialty and extend exceptional care for acute, chronic as well as rare skin conditions through sound clinical judgment and skillful diagnosis. Our outpatient clinics are well equipped for the diagnosis and treatment of all skin conditions.
Endocrinology Department The Department of Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism efficiently diagnoses, treats, and manages hormonal disorders of all ages and genders, with a special focus on the management of Diabetes Mellitus. All our consultants are highly qualified in diagnosing and managing endocrine disorders. Adhering to our philosophy of promoting overall health through a balanced diet and lifestyle changes, we also provide dedicated diabetes education that helps our patients fully understand their condition and manage it in a better way. Similarly, well-trained nutritionists are also an integral part of our team and guide our patients in leading healthier life through diet.
ENT Department The department of ENT has been providing diagnosis and comprehensive treatment of ear, nose, and throat diseases as well as treatment for hearing and balance and head and neck cancer surgeries.Patients are managed in a systematic manner with an emphasis on quick diagnosis and early treatment. There is a Procedure room in OPD for minor procedures, wound management, and microscopic ear examination. Emergency cover is provided round the clock.

General Medicine Department Our dedicated team of competent consultants at the Department of General Medicine not only diagnoses and treats diseases but also prevents the initial outbreak of these diseases by recognizing and controlling risk factors such as elevated cholesterol levels and blood pressure. MTI Bannu has multiple specialties all under one roof, which enable consultants of different disciplines to work together to ensure that the patients receive a comprehensive health treatment plan.
General Surgery Department The Department of General Surgery provides the highest quality of care to its patients. Our surgeons are well experienced. Our well-established team consists of highly skilled surgeons, experienced nursing staff, and paramedics. Surgical OPDs cater to a huge daily influx of patients. Additionally, our surgeons respond to incoming trauma cases round the clock. Besides surgical services to patients, teaching and training for young doctors, nurses, and undergraduate & postgraduate students is also carried out. We keep our patient’s health first and strive to provide excellent care.
Gynaecology & OBS Department Cases concerning pregnancy, childbirth and other reproductive diseases are treated in Gynae & Obs department. We have a very busy Gynae & Obs department at Women & Children Teaching Hospital where more than 40 deliveries and more than 15 C-sections are performed daily. We also have a full fledge Gynae department at Khalifa Gul Nawaz Teaching Hospital where C-section surgeries are performed daily by qualified Gynaecologists. Our Gynae department puts great emphasis on providing the best possible facilities for female health and well-being. Patients are seen and surgeries are performed by a dedicated team of consultants and supporting staff.
DEPARTMENT OF IT The department of Information Technology (IT) was established in response to the growing demand for the use of IT technologies in the hospitals of MTI Bannu. It has gained much strength and has achieved great milestones during the past 05 years. The department provides comprehensive 24/7 support for the hospital’s mission-critical computer applications. The objective of our department is to continuously provide a comprehensive technology infrastructure, further enhancement and to strengthen the effective operational environment and deliver quality, prompt, cost-effective, and reliable technology services. Our ongoing dedication is to explore and incorporate new ways towards advanced automated healthcare information systems to improve medical care and public health systems, lower costs, increase efficiency, reduce errors, and improve patient satisfaction.
Department of Nephrology: We have qualified and competent Nephrologist at DHQ Teaching Hospital MTI Bannu for in-patients and out-patients of nephrology. He is the in-charge of the Haemodialysis center where 12 latest dialysis machines are installed for patients of Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Karak, North Waziristan and South Waziristan.
Neurosurgery The Department of Neurosurgery is a center of excellence for the surgical and non-surgical evaluation and treatment of the full range of adult nervous system diseases, including those affecting the brain, its blood vessels and covering the spine and spinal cord, and the peripheral nerves. The department strives to provide patient care in a personalized, compassionate, and accommodating manner. It has the distinction of being one of the busiest and most technologically advanced neurosurgical departments. Backed by a team of experienced neuroradiologists, intensivists, and neuro physicians, the department deals with a wide spectrum of neurosurgical pathology. The highly advanced imaging facilities at KGNTH Hospital allow for a successful outcome of surgery. Sophisticated operating microscopes assist in making delicate surgeries more precise.
Ophthalmology Department The Department of Ophthalmology is renowned for providing treatment and care for all kinds of ocular (eye) problems. We utilize modern tools and carry out advanced tests to accurately diagnose and manage a wide array of eye conditions ranging from cataracts, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy. Our faculty comprises highly acclaimed glaucoma experts, retina specialists, pediatric ophthalmologists and refractive surgeons. We also perform a significant number of cataract surgeries every year using excellent facilities such as monofocal, TORIC, and multifocal intraocular lens implantation which can get rid of all types of refractive problems and make our patients’ spectacle free.
Orthopedic Department The Department of Orthopedic manages patients with musculoskeletal conditions such as bone and joint injuries, degenerative joint diseases, etc. The department provides a 24-hour trauma service for the hospital, managing all orthopedic trauma and injuries such as fractures and dislocations. It also coordinates the management and rehabilitation of patients after injury. A physiotherapist with special training in orthopedic rehabilitation has been dedicated to patients’ postoperative rehabilitation. As orthopedic surgery involves joint replacements and implant insertions such as nails and plates, it is absolutely essential to pay meticulous attention to aseptic conditions. The new elective orthopedic theater has international standard laminar airflow. This is essential to minimize the risk of infection in orthopedic surgical cases such as joint replacement and implant surgery. The equipment needed in orthopedic surgery has to be of the highest standards. The newly acquired equipment includes an operating table that can be used to take X-rays during the surgery. Inventory of the instruments used in orthopedic surgery has been renewed. Disposable surgical gowns and drapes are being used during surgeries to further minimize the risk of infection.
Pathology Department Khalifa Gul Nawaz Teaching Hospital is having a pathology department equipped with all essential diagnostic machines. It provides diagnostic facilities to in-patients and out-patients of the hospital. We have planned to modernize the department further by adding more advanced diagnostic machines in near future.
Peads Surgery Department Pediatric surgery is a subspecialty of general surgery that deals with the diagnosis, treatment, and specifically the surgical care of children from their infancy to their teenage years. A pediatric surgeon is specially trained to operate on infants, children, and young adults.Children undergoing surgeries are a delicate matter for both the patients’ health and family members’ emotions. KGNTH Hospital is offering pediatric surgeries such as minor, moderate, and major surgeries and management of complicated cases in newborn babies, infants, and children up till adolescent age.
